My Everyday Face Routine!!

Hey everyone!! I just recorded a short video of my everyday makeup! So I decided to also do a small post talking about it.
On my everyday basis I don't like to be completely flawless, I like to look natural; that's why you can see some of my imperfections.
This look is super easy and quick because I'm always in a hurry every single day...

This are the products and tools I used:

Face:

  • Mary Kay Medium-Coverage Foundation in Beige 302 (Mary Kay Seller aka my aunt)
  • MAC Select Cover-Up Concealer in NW25 (MAC)
  • Revlon ColorStay Pressed Powder in Fair (Target)
  • MAC Blush in Blushbaby (MAC)
  • MAC 116 Brush (MAC)
  • My Fingers
Eyes:
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion (Sephora)
  • MAC All That Glitters Eyeshadow (MAC)
  • Ulta Eyeshadow from Palette (Ulta)
  • Rimmel Bronzer in Sun Dance (Target)
  • Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper (Sephora)
  • Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara (Ulta)
  • Clinique Brow Shaper in Soft Brown (Clinique Counter)
  • Avon Color-Trend Clear Mascara (as Brow Gel) (Avon Seller)
  • Bobbi Brown Eye Sweep Brush (My CCO)
  • Sonia Kashuk Crease Brush (Target)
Lips:
  • EOS Lipbalm in Summer Fruit (Ulta)
  • MAC Viva Glam Cindy Lipstick (MAC)
I know this might look like a lot of stuff to use, but believe me, it looks super cute and natural!

Disclaimer!! I bought EVERYTHING with my own money and I'm not affiliated with ant company mentioned.

Before I forget, PLEASE ANSWER MY SURVEY (CLICK ME)!! I'm doing it to know what people wants to see in my YT Channel!!

UD Ammo Palette vs B.O.S. Vol 3 (Palettes reviews and comparison)

Which one do you prefer?? Ammo? Book of Shadows Vol. 3?? I'll show you the pros and cons that I've found in both palletes!!

The Ammo Shadow Box

$36 at Sephora and $39 at Ulta, but in Ulta it includes a full size Eden UDPP
Swatches:
Using normal UDPP as a base
Pros:
  • Sleek packaging
  • Variety of colors for natural and dramatic looks
  • Smooth consistency
  • Easy to apply and blend
  • Nice sized mirror
Cons:
  • 5 of the 10 shadows have giagantic glitter
  • Some colors are really similar (if it has just a few shadows I think it will be better to have more variety of colors)
Overall Grade:
8 out of 10

PPS (Price Per Shadow): $3.60

I would purchase this again

UD <3 NYC or Book Of Shadows Vol. 3

$54 at Sephora
Swatches
Using UDPP as a base

Pros:
  • Includes eyeliners and UDPP
  • More variety of colors
  • Cute packaging
  • Great quality of shadows
  • Awesome bright colors
  • Smooth to apply
  • Easy to blend
Cons:
  • Huge, bulky packaging
  • Not the ideal palette to use while traveling
  • Tiny mirror
Overall grade
8 out of 10

Price Per Item: $2.86

I don't think I'll buy this again

Quick comparison:
  • The Ammo palette is easier to take with you
  • NYC gives you more shades to achieve many types of looks
  • Some shades are in both palettes (Smog, Last Call, Maui Wowie)
  • Both are perfect as a gift

So, here are my thoughts is both palettes... Hope this is helpful to all of you!!

XOXO

Disclaimer:
The Ammo Palette belongs to my sister and the NYC was a gift from my parents to us. I'm not affiliated with UD and my opinions are 100% honest.

Cupcakes in a Hurry 101

Hey everyone!!! So while I'm typing this I'm waiting for the mini-sized cupcakes to come out of the oven...

I'll show you my best allies when being in a hurry...

1) Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe Butter Recipe Golden

2) Duncan Hines Creamy Home-Style Classic Vanilla  Premium Frosting

3) Mini Baking Cups
This are by Wilton and I got them at Target's dollar section (even though they were $1.99)

4) Organic Eggs
This is just personal preference. I have hens in my house, so I picked them up today (:
5) Water

6) Sprinkles/decorations

I like this ones that have many in one can, you can do many different designs (:

Just follow the instructions in the box...
I personally prefer to add more water to make it more fluffy, you can also ad 3/4 of a cup of pancakes mix, so it will "sponge" more... (This works with any cake flavor)

I also like to make mini-cupcakes because out of a single box you can get between 80-90 cupcakes (great, huh..)

So, after I took them out of the oven I left them on the table under the fan (just to accelerate the cooling process) for about 20 minutes...
With the back of a spoon I applied a generous amount of vanilla frosting and added some red sugar and jumbo sprinkles shaped as pine trees.

(I'll tweet a photo later today)

My recomendations!!

When you go to Target or Walmart start buying things that you may need (some sprinkles or frosting cans, cake mix, etc) so you can have in your kitchen for any emergency.
You don't need to buy everything at the same time, you can have a budget each time (separate about $10 and buy whatever you can get with those bucks)

Guess that's it... I should go and start getting everything ready..

XOXO

I'm a Plus Sized Fashionista

Being a plus size has always been a concern between my family and I. I personally don't care about if I'm fat or skinny or extremely skinny or curvy or whatever; what makes a person special is the inside and their attitude. This might sound like an over-used phrase, but it is actually true...

Short Background Info:

I've been chubby/plus sized since I have memory about; and this has always been a trending topic in my home. But also, I'm a brunette and my cousins are skinny and blonde, so basically they've made fun of me my entire life (some of them still do believe it or not). Their behavior isn't only racist, but it is also DISGUSTING.
Also, since I was about 8-9 I remember that my aunts always tried to have me on a diet. They always told me things like "you would be prettier if you weren't as chubby as you are now" or "don't you think this dress will look better on you if you have a few less pounds?" and maybe they were trying to encourage me to start a new lifestyle, but let me tell you one thing THAT DOESN'T WORK AT ALL.
I've been trying to lose those pounds, but I just hate the fact that I stop eating delicious stuff that I like and I have friends that eat all the junk food you can imagine and they just don't get any extra gram.
Because I just got tired that I was trying so hard to lose weight and I just couldn't and after doing some research, I decided that it was time to find some medical help to see what was wrong inside me (I mean, after visiting tons of nutritionists and failing every time I tried to lose weight, something should be wrong). So we went to the doctor, and after a few tests I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism.

Getting into fashion...

The store that I've been loving lately is Torrid
Their don't only have the cutest things that I've ever seen, but they also have a great self-esteem increasing sizing numbering that I just love.

Their sizes start at 0 (wich is normally a 12) and they start going on.

Did you know that Jordin Sparks was a model of Torrid before she became famous?

Watch Video Here
Another store that is AMAZING is Lane Bryant

The thing I love about Lane is that they carry other brands such as DKNY, and Seven7.

When I'm looking for something more formal/conservative I like to go with my mom to DressBarn.

I know that when you hear the word "Barn" the first thing that comes to you mind is horses, pigs and stuff, but it is completely the opposite.

The only con I can find about these stores is that they might be a little pricey.

Disclaimer
I am not affiliated with any of the stores I told you about (I wish I was, though). All opinions are completely honest (:

FINALS!!

Hey everyone!!!
So in my school finals' season already started (last friday, to be exact) and before season started I was looking for some tips and remembered everything that my teachers suggested us to do..

1) Eat an apple every morning!
I personally prefer green over red, but it's up to you!
I'm not saying they have more caffeine than coffee, but they have healthy sugar that helps you to be awake, also it is way healthier and tastier than coffee... Besides, drinking too much coffee might stain your teeth, so thing it again  (:

2) Sleep AT LEAST 6 hours before the exam

Many friends of mine prefer to stay awake all night and keep studying, but actually you will think better if you are well-rested

3) Don't study one day before the exam!

Many people believes that if they study one day before the exam the information will be fresh, but it's better to start studying several days before and dedicate a proper amount of time to each topic or subject... If you start studying one day before, it will be more common that you won't have enough time or that you will be really tired at the end of your study session.

4) If you are doing a study group, invite just a few people

When 5+ people are "studying" it is more likely that you will be doing something else rather than studying.

and last but not least.....

5) Take a warm shower every morning

I know that it isn't healthy for your hair to wash it every day, but I feel like every time I take a shower it helps me to get relaxed and clear my mind

So, I hope this tips are helpful for you (:

TALIKA Eyelash Conditioning Cream

Hi everyone!!! So this friday I went to my mall because I needed an appointment in my MAC counter, so after I did everything I went to a store called Sanborns and I was looking for a cream that my aunt told me about and how great it worked with her lashes...
The cream is called Talika Eyelash Conditioning Cream and it looks like this:
So, I've decided to give it a try. It was $283 pesos (which is about 20-23 dollars).
It comes in a little box with a tiny stick and you are supposed to apply it on your lash line every night.
Tonight is the second night I'm using it, and this is how my eyelashes look right now:

(PLEASE excuse the huge red volcano that is between my eyes, please also excuse the poor quality of the photo)

What I'm doing, instead of using the stick, is using my Sonia Kashuk Angled Eyeliner Brush.
When using it, you must avoid touching or rubing your eyelids, also try not to cry when you have it on (last night I was watching Mary Poppins and it felt kinda weird in my eyes)...

So, I'll do an update in about 4 weeks and tell you how it is working!!

Glee Series!

Hey Everyone!
So I just finished recording my first video of the Glee Series!! (YAAAAYY!!!) It's a Rachel Berry semi-wavy hair and a natural makeup...
So I'm converting my videos so I could get them to Movie Maker (I hate it! I want my MacBook back!) Guess I'll edit it later today and I might upload it also today! YAAAY!!
So I have 2 weeks free of doctors, so I'll try to do my best to get every look done asap; also, before I forget, when I finish uploading the video I'll do a blog post with other pictures and the things I used =)
Also, I'd like to thank Ana Wood (from Bee Royal Cosmetics) because she'll be sending me some products to review =)

Jun 29, 2010

Hey Everyone!

So this is my first post in this blog and I don't know what to say, well I kinda do...
First of all:
THANK YOU for reading this! It's so cool that you are taking the time to read what I have to share =)
Second of all:
I'm planning to do a TV Series Series (Like series of makeup based on a TV show), I'll be starting with Glee, and guess later I'll do The Secret Life of The American Teenager, idk...
Let me know what you think...

Now, getting into serious stuff...
-I am literally counting the days in which my baby nephew will born! yaaay!!
-I might sound nerdie, but I MISS SCHOOL! Well, I do not miss SCHOOL, but I miss the great time I had with my friends (which I miss A LOT!!), and I can't really visit them because: 1) I am visiting the doctors life twice a week, so I'm kinda busy and 2) We don't live close, I live like an hour away of any of their houses....
- Do you feel like Argentina deserves to be kicked out of the World Cup? (Cuz I do!)
