Cupcakes in a Hurry 101

Hey everyone!!! So while I'm typing this I'm waiting for the mini-sized cupcakes to come out of the oven...

I'll show you my best allies when being in a hurry...

1) Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe Butter Recipe Golden

2) Duncan Hines Creamy Home-Style Classic Vanilla  Premium Frosting

3) Mini Baking Cups
This are by Wilton and I got them at Target's dollar section (even though they were $1.99)

4) Organic Eggs
This is just personal preference. I have hens in my house, so I picked them up today (:
5) Water

6) Sprinkles/decorations

I like this ones that have many in one can, you can do many different designs (:

Just follow the instructions in the box...
I personally prefer to add more water to make it more fluffy, you can also ad 3/4 of a cup of pancakes mix, so it will "sponge" more... (This works with any cake flavor)

I also like to make mini-cupcakes because out of a single box you can get between 80-90 cupcakes (great, huh..)

So, after I took them out of the oven I left them on the table under the fan (just to accelerate the cooling process) for about 20 minutes...
With the back of a spoon I applied a generous amount of vanilla frosting and added some red sugar and jumbo sprinkles shaped as pine trees.

(I'll tweet a photo later today)

My recomendations!!

When you go to Target or Walmart start buying things that you may need (some sprinkles or frosting cans, cake mix, etc) so you can have in your kitchen for any emergency.
You don't need to buy everything at the same time, you can have a budget each time (separate about $10 and buy whatever you can get with those bucks)

Guess that's it... I should go and start getting everything ready..

XOXO
