Short Background Info:
I've been chubby/plus sized since I have memory about; and this has always been a trending topic in my home. But also, I'm a brunette and my cousins are skinny and blonde, so basically they've made fun of me my entire life (some of them still do believe it or not). Their behavior isn't only racist, but it is also DISGUSTING.
Also, since I was about 8-9 I remember that my aunts always tried to have me on a diet. They always told me things like "you would be prettier if you weren't as chubby as you are now" or "don't you think this dress will look better on you if you have a few less pounds?" and maybe they were trying to encourage me to start a new lifestyle, but let me tell you one thing THAT DOESN'T WORK AT ALL.
I've been trying to lose those pounds, but I just hate the fact that I stop eating delicious stuff that I like and I have friends that eat all the junk food you can imagine and they just don't get any extra gram.
Because I just got tired that I was trying so hard to lose weight and I just couldn't and after doing some research, I decided that it was time to find some medical help to see what was wrong inside me (I mean, after visiting tons of nutritionists and failing every time I tried to lose weight, something should be wrong). So we went to the doctor, and after a few tests I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism.
Getting into fashion...
The store that I've been loving lately is Torrid
Their don't only have the cutest things that I've ever seen, but they also have a great self-esteem increasing sizing numbering that I just love.
Their sizes start at 0 (wich is normally a 12) and they start going on.
Did you know that Jordin Sparks was a model of Torrid before she became famous?

Another store that is AMAZING is Lane Bryant
The thing I love about Lane is that they carry other brands such as DKNY, and Seven7.
When I'm looking for something more formal/conservative I like to go with my mom to DressBarn.
I know that when you hear the word "Barn" the first thing that comes to you mind is horses, pigs and stuff, but it is completely the opposite.
The only con I can find about these stores is that they might be a little pricey.
Disclaimer
I am not affiliated with any of the stores I told you about (I wish I was, though). All opinions are completely honest (:
